Architects of a world in motion
The nursing home we had the opportunity to work on with the project owner will feature two protected living units, each with 14 rooms, designed for the permanent care of elderly people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. Our priority was to design the interior spaces for the residents, their families, and loved ones, as well as for the caregivers. This was achieved through a prosthetic approach, allowing us to propose a living environment that is both suitable and welcoming.
In detail
Our interior architectural approach for this project is an illustration of softness and "flexibility." Through spatial organization, architectural details, materiality, and colorful atmospheres, the goal is to create UVPs (Protected Living Units) as protective bubbles that will generate positive emotions. Several methods will be implemented in this interior project to support and reassure the residents, such as "nudge," "certainty anchors," and "snoezelen."
