Group

As a structured and multidisciplinary architecture group, we draw on the complementary expertise within our team. Architects, interior architects, and construction engineers work together daily to approach each project with the most appropriate perspective.

Human, technical, sensitive, complex, methodical, precise, and specialized — this diversity of viewpoints shapes a demanding architecture, tailored to today’s challenges. Based in France and the Gulf region, the group relies on a rich network of complementary expertise, including Unhi, its subsidiary dedicated to healthcare architecture. Each project benefits from a strong local presence, a global vision, and a high level of both technical and human commitment.

Team

Our state of mind is expressed in the name of our group: Unanime. We believe in the power of the collective. We like the idea of passing on and sharing. And we rely heavily on the diversity of backgrounds that make up our teams.

Unanimous

Our organization is structured around divisions that thrive on the cross-functionality of our teams. For our photos, we blended teams, offices, and professions.

For us, this is also what team spirit means.

Manifesto

Always in motion

In a world of constant acceleration, we see architecture as a thoughtful response to major environmental, social, and technical challenges. Ecological transition, digital transformation, evolving professional practices — these ongoing shifts are integrated into our daily approach. We foster an architecture in motion, attuned to its era — meaningful, sustainable, and grounded in relevance. Digital tools, particularly BIM, enable us to design collaboratively, anticipate future uses, and ensure the long-term performance of the built environment.

Everyday architecture

Across all sectors — industry, offices, housing, laboratories, healthcare, and public facilities — we place people at the heart of every project. Our user-focused architecture prioritizes comfort and quality of use over the pursuit of the spectacular. Enduring, functional, and precise, it responds equally well to everyday programs and highly technical, complex operations. We advocate for an architecture that is both contextual and operational — shaped by real-world conditions and grounded in tangible needs.

Hand in hand

We approach architecture as an ongoing dialogue — a process enriched by constant exchange with our teams, clients, and partners. Each of these stakeholders contributes to giving meaning to the project. Every intervention draws on the diversity of perspectives and expertise within the group, and is rooted in a unique context — whether historical, urban, or social. To listen, to understand, to engage in dialogue — this is already to design.

Form and substance

This richness of collaborative work is reflected in the relevance and diversity of our projects — and above all, in the aesthetic quality of our architecture. We are attentive to detail, materials, perspectives, and light — whenever they serve the project and have the power to evoke emotion in those who experience the space.

The Unanime Story

Unanime was born from a shared ambition: to design and build together. In 1994, two Lyon-based architects, Jacques Delattre and Gilles Marchand, founded their agency. In 2001, their meeting with Didier Garcin and Cédric Morel marked the creation of Unanime — a structure shaped by collective rigor and the intelligence of dialogue.

As the agency grew, it expanded its horizons with new offices in Aix-les-Bains and in the Gulf region. Over the years, Unanime evolved and strengthened its organization: a construction division dedicated to engineering was established, alongside the development of an interior architecture unit, reflecting a strong commitment to user experience and spatial atmosphere.

In 2019, Unanime partnered with the Paris-based firm Hall-Idasiak, a specialist in healthcare and social care architecture, to create UNHI, a subsidiary entirely focused on health-sector projects.

At the same time, a new chapter began with the arrival of a generation of passionate, visionary architects. Taking up the mantle, they continue to drive the collective momentum while bringing fresh energy to the group — one that is open, engaged, and deeply attuned to the contemporary challenges of architecture.
