Architects of a world in motion
Continuing on from the 5 existing buildings within the ZAC, Building F. at the Gerland technopark stands out for the special attention it pays to outdoor spaces in the form of warm, protected terraces, and for its 5-sided wood treatment, which contrasts with the project's metal facades.
In detail
Sustainable development approach A number of measures have been taken to ensure a high level of environmental quality, which has been confirmed by the HQE certification, including :
- Wood-framed facades;
- Structures, insulation and equipment chosen with the carbon footprint in mind;
- Preference given to bio-sourced insulation;
- Solar protection with pergolas and adjustable brise-soleils to enhance summer comfort ;
- Photovoltaic panels.
The reversibility and scalability of the project are two key features of Building F., which is intended both in plan and in facade.
